Quest for the Rose Diamond

Author(s): Samuela Noel Dsouza

YA Fiction

What if you lived in a world where magic wielders and humans hated each other, and you were caught in between?
Aqua always questioned her place in the world; risking her life selling Forbidden Objects with her friend Elora. There was only one thing she was certain of—humans were the enemy. But one day everything changes...and not for the better. When Aqua's whole world comes crashing down, she must look beyond what she thought was true, and unravel the past.
As darker secrets come to light, Aqua realises she has been lied to her whole life, and that the line between hero and villain is much foggier than anyone realises.
When the mysterious Rose Diamond comes forward with a proposal after years of hiding in the shadows, she must choose between staying in the life she's always known, or fulfilling her destiny and hunting down the girl responsible for the enmity between humans and Mysticlinians.
The decision seems easy enough. And who better than Elora, her best friend, to go with her? As Aqua ventures deeper into a deadly forest, she is confronted with a tangled web of deception, and even deadlier foes. When a strange hooded presence enters her dreams,
Aqua struggles to keep control of her powers; and her relationship with her companions starts to get strained. As doubt and prejudice clash in her mind, and the hooded figure challenges her every move; Aqua begins to wonder who she can really trust.
With the Guard of Sorrow lurking in the forest, dangerous myths and the secretive organisation her friends work for, she finds herself pushing away those closest to her; all the while unaware of an unfathomable evil prowling just out of her reach...
Will Aqua manage to keep her powers under control and defeat an immortal enemy? Or will she succumb to the dark thrill of hate and lies that threaten to destroy her?
